It's a wrap! August 2020

Whenever a client calls, they always have a need on their mind. It might be a social media strategy or a language manual. But once I start asking questions, most of the time we end up chatting about something much deeper than the public-facing output.

It’s nice to know how to spell the company name. It’s much more significant to understand the context. In August, I got to work alongside Roy van Rooijen on the rebranding of Tenera, a newly founded BCG venture

The brand book and language manual are now both finalized, and we’ve moved on to creating the new website. Just like with any startup, things move fast and need to get done quickly, so I expect the website to launch before the end of September.

Once my workday with Tenera was over, I opened my books and continued my studies in Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge. The course has been very insightful and interesting yet also very demanding. I paused all my side projects for two months, and now that August is over and the course almost finished, I’m very excited about being able to continue working on my next book and the podcast on sustainability I’ve been talking about forever.

Also, in September, Maximilian Mauracher and I will be launching our new venture, the New Standard Studio. That also means I’ll be discontinuing my freelancing services, since I’ve finally found the right partner to collaborate with.

We’ll be focusing on helping companies implement more sustainable systems into their culture and create learning journeys but also brand identities. It’s not like I’ll be doing completely different things. It’s more that I’ll be doing more of what I really like.

If sustainability is an interesting topic for your team, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our website is launching soon.
